St. George's School

I was a student of this school and I'll be telling you everything about them. 1. 2023 ki Jo principal Hai, they are the most toxic person I've ever seen. Dude wants us to get 100/100 and maintain perfect academics. Look, it's not about scoring, school should be about knowing what your weak and strong points are and do what you like and decide. Academics sab nahi Hota. Students love PE classes but Hota half an hour ka Hai. And teachers even threatens the kids and tells them to stay back in class and study during the time while your classmates enjoy that half an hour just because his/her notebook wasn't complete or just because of minor issues. Look PE classes week Mei 1 baar Hota Hai aur Har ek baccha uss din ka wait karta hai but most of the time it ends up being a substitution because the teacher's out for interschool competition or absent. 2. Washroom and classes Looks shabby even tho bahaar ka accha view hai. I'm grateful ki washroom abhi renovate ho Rahe Hai and it's better now. Renovation abhi classes ka bhi ho sakta hai and it's good. No issues with that. 3. Bohot extra money charge karte hai. Like- on teachers day, each student has to submit 20rs, par voh toh school ko karna chahiye na. Annual charges are high. The worst part is children's day ke din seniors can't wear according to their choice but only long dress which cover skin like kurtis and this is because the teacher says "it's distracting for the boys" but the boys can wear anything they like. 4. I've had many experiences where the teacher's are very rude with the students, even going to the extent to shame their families. Not to mention any names but the teacher degrades not only the students work but their entire family. This behaviour is not acceptable at all. Some teachers refuse to teach the class after a minor inconvenience caused by one student. What kind of behaviour is this? It's up to you ki apne baccha ko bejo ya nahi. These are some thing that I personally experienced.

I went here for a few months in 1996. Many of the teachers were excellent. Sunita Nagar deserves special mention. But my resounding memory of this school is sadly some lowlife thug of a PE teacher hitting me and other kids for not cutting our nails or having the right uniform. How did it serve a child to learn that they have to accept being physically assaulted by authority figures because of minor superficial tidiness errors? I dreaded every day I had to be in that toxic environment.

An excellent school for good education, discipline and character building This is an excellent school for imparting good quality education based on what is considered to be slightly 'old school' values. St. George's School, as evident from the name is a Christian school, a Christian missionary school. So some of the values like discipline, strictness, focus on academics is all very much there. It was started in 1962 and is one of older schools in the city and one of the oldest in the South East Delhi - Alaknanda area. It was started by Rev Fr V.C. George a Christian missionary. It is a minority institution run by the Christian minority. In 1982 it came under the management of the Muthoot Group, another renowned organization from the south. Dr. Sara George, ex- Principal and now Director of the school, ran the school on well founded and enduring values. This is evident from the favoured position it enjoys among the educational institutions in the city. It has CBSE curriculum and offers admission from Pre-Primary through Class XII. It offers both Science and Commerce streams. The school also offers good extra-curricular and sports activities. It offers excellent facilities for cricket, with even day and night playing facility. Paul George International School has come up just next to the school and belongs to the same group.

This school is just awful environment wise. As its coming up from the ex student itself it is true that the staff behaviour is very bad towards the child, they ruin child’s mental health and ill treat the child by showing unacceptably rude behaviours without understanding their emotions and helping them to gain confidence, they make them lose it by publicly humiliating insecurities and targeting child, leading for them to feel a place where they cannot trust or learn properly without fear and insecurities and get entirely bad mental health(the staff behaviour lead to my suicidal thoughts) . Some staff is good but some are extremely arrogant, talking about the facilities there’s nothing extra and special which most of the schools in south zone provide. School is a bit conservative and it restricts the growing environment of the child. This school also assume the child’s character on the basis of their looks and judge them accordingly and putting their false allegations on them. Also if u are a girl this school wont treat you equally. Consider these points before sending ur child in.

Best school ever I was honored to have studied here for 12 years straight most of the teachers were the best and the school ground is also big but now they have changed the ground and the basketball court has gone the tennis court is also gone sad to see that 😔 but the educational aspect is still good as I here from the junior students some teachers have also changed.they still have a big cricket ground way bigger than most of the Delhi schools

My name is sulagno ghosh, I have been with this school for 14 years, it takes time to create your image here, staff is amazing but challenging. It's hard to not get your mental health a little disturbed about the assignments ,projects, weekly tests and extracurricular. As one of the main singers for the music group I had some extremely fun inter school competitions to attend to. I have participated probably more than 30-40 competition and also attend some state level competition. If this school sees potential in you they will make you the poster boy. Though the curriculum is hard, you later realise it was all for good! Ps:- I am in Canada studying computer science ✌ so turned out pretty good
